Induced Polarization Surveys

Scott Geophysics Ltd. offers IP/Resistivity surveys using a variety of arrays.

Equipment

• Scintrex and GDD transmitters, ranging in power from 2.5 to 10 kW
• Scintrex IPR12 and GDD GRX8 multichannel receivers

IP Surveys

A variety of arrays and equipment are available to suit particular targets and conditions. Mixed arrays, where the 'a' spacing varies with the separation, are offered in addition to standard configurations.

A magnetometer survey may optionally be included with an IP survey. The resulting mag profiles are plotted with the IP pseudosections.

IP Inversion

IP and resistivity pseudosections can be difficult to interpret directly for complex geometries. Inversion techniques can provide objective earth models and resolve complex anomalies.

Scott Geophysics offers inversion of IP and resistivity data using the 2 and 3D forward modelling and inversion software developed by Geotomo Software.
